+Some customers may experience a delay when trying to create a new email address, or alias, for their Outlook.com account. While these Microsoft accounts work in other Microsoft products (e.g. OneDrive, Windows, Xbox), they are non-functional when visiting Outlook.com. Outlook.com (the web version of Outlook) and Outlook apps require a 1st party alias (Outlook/Hotmail/Live/MSN) to send and receive email, use calendar, etc. Problems with the device, connection to power, network issues, viruses or malware, oversized files, and improper shutdowns all cause the PST file to act up. Outlook has a location where you can manually add approved email addresses to the Safe Senders list and ensure they never end up in your junk mail. It might be that Outlook is not responding, or it's not loading.

+Follow these steps to let Outlook diagnose and fix errors in your Outlook mail profile that might be causing the issue. You can create a new Outlook Data File and drag the items in the Lost and Found folder into the new data file. After you've moved all the items, you can remove the Recovered Personal Folders (.pst) file, including the Lost and Found folder. To create a new Outlook Data File, go to Create an Outlook Data File.
